Every Mersenne number less than this one has been checked once for primality (completed by GIMPS 8 April 2009), so it is possible that this is the 42nd Mersenne by size. We will remove the question mark when they complete the second check of each of the smaller exponents. When the first and second checks' checksums match, it is far more certain that the results are correct.
