The prime database currently has six fields:

Rank: primes are ranked from largest (1) to the least in order of size
Description: the mathematical expression that defines the prime
Digits: the number of digits in the base ten expansion
Discoverer: the name of the discoverers (provers)
Year: the year they were added to the list
Comment: Certain types of primes are indicated with comments(twins, Mersennes,...)

For the description and comment fields you may enter a substring (case insensitive) which the primes must match. Leave blank to allow any value. Examples: You could enter "twin" in the comment field to get a list of twin primes in the database; or enter "!! OR !2" in the description field to get all double factorial primes. (See also the advanced search options.)

You may restrict the prime output to one or more discoverer by selecting one of the following. Leave blank to allow any discoverer. You may also use * as a wildcard.

Proof-Code(s) (e.g., C, or perhaps C or D*).

You may also restrict the primes selected by specifying a minimum and/or maximum number of digits. Since all primes in this database have at least 1000 digits, smaller minimums would be meaningless. Leave blank to place no restriction on the size.

You may restrict the primes selected by specifying a minimum and/or maximum age (in number of days).

Age:

You may restrict the type of primes to search for. For example, the database stores all of the primes that were ever on the list; not just those currently on the list. It also stores submissions that have not yet been (re)verified.

Type:
Just those on list all verified primes all (includes unverified primes)

Finally, you may limit the size of the list you get by placing an upper limit on the number of primes. Leave blank to list all matches. Example: If you leave every other field above blank, and enter 100 here, you will get a list of the 100 largest primes. (The number displayed has a default value of 20.)
