GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 282589933-1 (24,862,048 digits)

+ The only number of the form p^q(p+q^q), where q=p+1 and p and q are both primes. [Hunter]

+ 232^(2*3*2)+2+3+2 is prime. This is the largest three-digit non-zero number with this property. There are only two such numbers, the other being 187. [Opao]
