GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 282589933-1 (24,862,048 digits)

+ The smallest 2-sphenic number, i.e., a 3-almost prime with distinct double-digit prime factors. Note, that it consists of the first four positive digits and it can be represented as the product of first three double-digit primes, 11*13*17, whose the concatenation in order, i.e., 111317, is prime.
