GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) The positiveonly integer series from the proximateprime polynomial (PPP) 2n^{2}  2n + 53089 produces 634 primes in the first 1000 terms. This is more than for any other PPP derived from 4 successive primes under 1000000. As comparison, 582 primes are generated by the quadratic n^{2}  n + 41. [Capelle]
