GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) The larger in the first pair of right/lefttruncatable primes. [Loungrides] The smallest prime formed by inserting a prime p between the digits of its next prime q, i.e., (p, q) = (23, 29). Note that by inserting the prime q between the digits of prime p we have also a prime, i.e., 2293. [Loungrides]
