GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) (8839, 8893) is the larger of only two pairs of 4digit primes formed by inserting a doubledigit prime p between the digits of its next prime q and by inserting q between the digits of its previous prime p, case (p=83, q=89).
