GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) 230 = 2 x 23 x (2 + 3) or (2 x 23 x 5) is the only number with prime factors produced simply from its first two digits, which happen to be the first two primes. [Blunden] 230 is the first number such that it and the next number are both the product of three distinct primes (230 = 2*5*23 and 231 = 3*7*11). [Axoy]
