GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) 258 is the minimum magic sum of a magic square utilizing sixteen consecutive primes. First found by Allan W. Williams, Jr., of Washington, D.C. The concatenation of all of the permutations of the digits of 258 in order (258285528582825852) falls between a pair of prime twins.
