GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 282589933-1 (24,862,048 digits)

+ The only multidigit prime factor of 3915702486 (a pandigital integer formed from sorting the digits alphabetically when spelled in reverse in English). Oddly enough, when sorted by reverse spelling, all of the odd digits precede all of the even digits. The odd digits (39157) are also a prime number. [Gaydos]
