GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 282589933-1 (24,862,048 digits)

+ A prime number p that divides LS(p), where LS is the "Look-and-Say" function. E.g., 4940867 divides "one 4, one 9, one 4, one 0, one 8, one 6, one 7" or 14191410181617. Found by Professor Alois P. Heinz of Heilbronn University on 20 November 2014. (Only four such prime numbers are known.)
