GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) Single Curio View: (Seek other curios for this number) The lesser prime of the smallest emirp pair both of which are Pythagorean, i.e., expressible as the sum of two squares: 37 = 1^{2} + 6^{2} ; 73 = 3^{2} + 8^{2}.
