GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) Single Curio View: (Seek other curios for this number) 3(23)_3479 = (32*10^695923)/99 is a palindromic prime containing the two smallest possible smoothly undulating prime digits (i.e., 2 and 3). This number, also called smoothly undulating palindromic prime, was the largest known "ordinary" prime at the time when it was certified (7 July 2003) with Primo, an implementation of the ECPP algorithm.
