GIMPS has discovered a new largest known prime number: 2^{82589933}1 (24,862,048 digits) (10^1195910^9)/(10^101)*1098765432+109876543 is a gigantic probable prime. There are smaller countdown probable primes with 35, 139, 153, 253, 1053, 2015, 3703, 6933 and 8173 digits. OpenPFGW found none with more than 11959 and less than 28000 digits. [Broadhurst]
